The Raudaskylä Master Classes have been around for over 50 years. Internationally renowned teachers, great rehearsal facilities and idyllic surroundings of Raudaskylä – that’s what our Master Classes are made of! The Master Classes are accompanied by concerts of the lecturers and final concerts of the students.

Transportation

The classes will begin on Monday 3th of June 2024. You can arrive at Raudaskylä from Sunday evening on. The easiest way to arrive is to travel together by train (contact Katarina). We have arranged transportation from Ylivieska railway station to Raudaskylä on Sunday evening and vice versa:

Location and surroundings

Our college is located in the middle of the towns of Ylivieska and Nivala, distance from both is 15 km. The nearest shops and supermarkets are to be found in those towns. We have here a little shop for candies, refreshments, toiletries etc.

Improvisation and free accompaniment workshop

Low-threshold exercises from classical music to today’s pop music. The workshop is suitable for players of all ages and levels, from beginners to professionals, and no previous experience in improvisation is required.

Rehearsal

During the courses we have about 20 class rooms reserved for rehearsal. There are about ten classrooms equipped with a piano. At daytime you can practice in the dorms as well. Booking lists are in the entrance hall of the college building.

Accommodation in dorms

Students will stay in dorms at the college. Dorms include 5–7 rooms (2 persons / room). Rooms are fitted with beds, table, wardrobes and bedding (no sheets). You can rent sheets and towel (15 €) from our reception. Kitchen is equipped with a stove, a microwave, a coffee maker and a refrigerator.

• Master Classes  460 € (6 x 45 min). Extras 1 x 45 min = 88 €
• Konstantin Bogino Master Class 620 € (6 x 45 min). Extras 1 x 45 min = 105 €
• Improvisation and free accompaniment workshop 35 € / person (sis. 4 x 45 min)
• Full board in double room: 195 €
• Full board in single room: 240 € (restricted availability)

You can make your payments at the reception by cash or credit card (Visa or Mastercard).

Parents and relatives are warmly welcome to Raudaskylä as well.

• Full board for adults in 47 € / day and for children (4-12 years) 39 € / day and 1-4 years 15 € / day. These prices includes full board, free admission to the lessons and concerts and leisure time activities.
