Konstantin Bogino is a representative of the fourth generation in a family of pianists from Moscow, united by a deep friendship to Sviatoslav Richter, Emil Gilels, Arthur Rubinstein, Arturo B. Michelangeli,celebrities who have highly influenced Konstantin’s growth.

Konstantin’s first master was his father - Georgy Bogino, pianist and teacher, author of a new method for piano appreciated and acknowledged by Shostakovich and Kabalewsky.

From 1973 to 1978 Konstantin performed at over 300 concerts in the former Soviet Union, both as a soloist and as a member of the Trio Tchaïkovsky, of which he was the founder.

 

In 1978, he left Russia for the former Yugoslavia, and since 1987 he lives in Paris.

He won in a duo with the violinist Pavel Vernikov the ARD competition in Monaco and Grand Prix "Vittorio Gui" in Florence. Konstantin played in many concert halls around the world: La Scala in Milan, Auditorium Santa Cecilia in Rome, Theatre du Chatelet and Hotel de Ville in Paris, Hercules Saall in Munchen,  Lincoln Center in New York, Kennedy Center in Washington, Bunka Hall in Tokyo. He has participated in numerous festivals, such as: "Music Weeks" of the Chigiana Music Academy of Siena (Italy), "Michelangeli" of Brescia and Bergamo (Italy), Nantallie and Kuhmo (Finland), Bad Kissingen (Germany), Evian Music Festival directed by Mstislav Rostropovich and Menton (France), S. Richter Music Festival Moscow (Russia) etc ….

He is founder, artistic director and chief teacher of the "International Music Academy” in Rome and of the High Performance Courses held at the "Santa Cecilia” Music Academy in Bergamo.

Currently, he carries out intensive training and education programs, delivers seminars for teachers and pianists in conservatories and academies throughout Europe, Israel, South-Korea and USA. Numerous students of M.Bogino  have distinguished themselves in international competitions by winning, such as:  "Maj Lind”, Helsinki, "Young Artists”, New York, "Mozart”, Salzburg, "Leeds”, London, Trio di Trieste, "Casagrande”, Terni,  Busoni, Artur Rubinstein (Tel Aviv), Schubert (Dorthmund), without him being member of the jury!

He is the promoter, with the idea of promoting young musical talents, founder and artistic director of festivals, such as: Portogruaro, Chioggia and Lucca in Italy; "Erik Satie" in Paris; Dubrovnik in Croatia and Gosau in Austria.

Konstantin Bogino has recorded several  CDs for labels such as Dynamic, RCA, Ondine, ADDA,Conifer, Music, Picture, PGP, Real Sound.
